Chairman on transfer talks
Wolverhampton Wanderers, 11:20, June 25, 2009
As Wolves continue their pursuit of new players, chairman Steve Morgan has confirmed they are in negotiations with several targets.
Reading's Kevin Doyle is said to be in talks over a move to the club although there are plenty of other interested parties, while Marseille defender Ronald Zubar is also believed to be close to agreeing a deal and Morgan is looking ahead with confidence.
"I think we've got a great squad which we're in the process of adding to," the chairman told the club's website.
"We've added two so far and with the nucleus of what we already have, and with the quality of players we're hoping to bring in, I think we'll give anyone a run for their money next season."
Morgan added: "I was with Mick (McCarthy) and Jez (Moxey) this morning and we're in negotiations with another clutch of players at this very moment in time.
"The quality of players we're talking about, added to what we already have will mean we'll give anyone a game.
"We're certainly not going in there to be cannon fodder for anyone."
